The most famous and the most read verse of the Bible is John 3:16. It reads in the KJV, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only beggotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Many people read about God’s Love but don’t read what follows next. We read in John 3:18, “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” Jesus in his farewell address to his disciples said, “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.” Now to believe in God means to believe in God’s Son. If one claims to believe in God but does not believe in God’s Son, he does not believe in the True and the Living God. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is an exclusive one! (John 14:6) It is the Gospel of the message of the Cross. The Cross of Christ is an offence to the world but to us who are being saved it is the power of God unto Salvation.
