True Christianity is not about a dead Jesus but it is about Jesus who died for our sins and rose up from the dead on the third day
(1- Corinthians 15:3-4) according to His own Word. We preach Christ Crucified and serve a Risen Saviour!
The Crucifixion of Jesus was a real fact. The grave of Jesus was sealed and guarded in vain by the enemies of Christ. The resurrection of Jesus from the dead was a real fact. The empty and open grave of Jesus Christ is an open testimony to the world that He is not in the grave but has risen from the dead. Last Sunday morning I preached in our Church in Stratford on Acts 3:15 under the title, “You killed Whom God raised up” YLT (Young’s literal translation) puts it, “and the Prince of the life ye did kill, whom God did raise out of the dead, of which we are witnesses.”
We closed our morning time of worship by singing the following hymn. It is a lovely hymn. I quote the first verse and the chorus here for my readers:
I serve a risen Saviour; He is in the world today.
I know that He is living, whatever men may say.
I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer,
And just the time I need Him He’s always near.
Chorus:
He lives! He lives! Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and He talks with me along life’s narrow way.
He lives! He lives! Salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart.
