WHEN I SAW HIM

The apostle John was an old man when banished on a little rocky island of Patmos in the first century A.D. He himself recorded (Revelation 1:9) as to where and why he was put in prison. The island of Patmos, still can be seen from present day Turkey. The Risen Lord Jesus comforted John.  This comfort and encouragement is for all true Christians. Let us read the words which the apostle John recorded for our comfort and encouragement:

“And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His Right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid: I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forever more. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.” Revelation 1:17-18
